Holiday in Virginia
Staunton
24 April 2001 - Tuesday

This morning we drove to Staunton, the
birthplace of
Woodrow Wilson. Staunton is a beautiful town nestled in the
Shenandoah Valley. First we toured the house where Woodrow Wilson
was born and spent his early childhood years.

Then we walked around the town and ate lunch at the old
train station.

Our next stop was to the New Market Battlefield where a
Civil War battle was fought by young boys from the Virginia Military
Academy in Lexington.
